Sacred Geometry Projection Paintings
Sacred Geometry Paintings with Video Mapped Animations
Graphite and guache on paper
In this series, Michelle and Bryan address the timeless subject of sacred geometry in a fresh way by merging two drastically different disciplines to have a powerful effect on the viewer. These drawings of ancient sacred geometric patterns on paper are brought to life by projecting video-mapped animations onto them. Each of these patterns has significant meaning to ancient cultures, philosophers and mystics. By combining the traditional mediums of drawing and painting with the technology of projection mapping, Michelle and Bryan are able to highlight the symbolic meanings and hidden relationships found in these timeless patterns. Ratios found within sacred geometry are echoed in nature, from the development of crystalline structures to the branch patterns of trees. As the viewer meditates on these works the relationship between sacred geometry and nature become increasingly clear.
